Obituary
Mrs. Maggie Lois DuBose, age 91 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018.
Mrs. DuBose was born May 13, 1927, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Thomas Murphy and Maggie Franks. She was married to the late Lloyd Cecil DuBose and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vernon. Mrs. DuBose was a seamstress and did alterations for many people. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. DuBose was also preceded in death by her son, Larry DuBose; two brothers, Arvil Gray Franks and Johnnie Franks; and three sisters, Wylodine McGowan, Judith Cunningham, and Jewel Rae Franks.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Randy Tollison officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.
Survivors include her sister, Eula Mae DuBose of Vernon, AL; her granddaughter, Taylor DuBose; two great-granddaughters, Aubrey and Lakelyn Christmas; her daughter-in-law, Brenda DuBose; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Vernon, P.O. Box 430, Vernon, AL 35592.
