Mr. Manley J. Hopper, age 83 of Columbus, MS, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Hopper was born May 5, 1933, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Thomas Jackson and Ola Lee Hopper and was a carpenter.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Vernon with Joe Beckon and M.H. Hollis officiating. Burial will follow at Lampkin Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 11-1 at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hopper of Columbus, MS; his son, Lee Hopper of Columbus, MS; his daughter-in-law, Lorri Hopper of Columbus, MS; and one grandson, Garett Hopper of Baton Rouge, LA.
