Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Pennington, age 83 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Pennington was born October 2, 1932, in Jefferson Co., AL, to the late Roy and Mary Ash. She worked in the garment plant and was a housewife. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pennington was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Pennington, and her son, Marvin Lawrence.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 at Christian Chapel Church of Christ with Travis Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 1-2 at the church prior to the service.
Survivors include four sons, Jay (Debbie) Lawrence of Columbus, MS, Dale (Donna) Lawrence of Hamilton, AL; Bill (Tisha) Pennington of Vernon, AL, and Redus (Sara) Pennington of Fairhope, AL; one sister, Ellen (Jay) Campbell of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
