Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn Alice Storey, age 83 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Vernon.
Marilyn was born June 4, 1933, in Vernon, AL, to the late John and Alice Price. She was a secretary at United Technologies and was married to the late William J. Storey. Marilyn enjoyed church activities, reading, working in her yard, and visiting with family and friends. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Azilee Williams, Ruby Barton, and Mary Lollar, and one brother, Cloyd Price.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 at the First Baptist Church in Vernon with Randy Tollison officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wedneday 1-3 prior to the service at the church.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Storey of Vernon, AL; three grandchildren, Perry (JoAnn) Hollenbeck of Prattville, AL, Lisa (James) Woods of Vernon, AL, and Kimberly (Joshua) Howell of Prattville, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Connor Woods, David Hollenbeck, Logan Woods, Samuel Hollenbeck, Noah Woods, Anna Woods, and Ellie Howell; one sister, Betty (Joe) Allen of College Station, TX; and a host of other family and friends.
