Mrs. Marilyn Nell Wilson, age 62 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Wilson was born October 4, 1955, in Columbus, MS, to the late Mac John and Rudy Honeycutt. She was an administrative assistant at the Animal Care Center in Vernon. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her son, Brad Wilson, and her parents.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Kenny Gardner and Danny Hollis officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, 1:00-3:00 prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Darrell Pennington, Dr. Paul Click, Dr. B.J. Cash, Greg Stanford, Dave Reed, Mark Randolph, and Darren Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Animal Care Center and previous employees of Chromolox.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Wilson of Vernon, AL; one daughter, April (Jammie) Turner of Vernon, AL; one son, Nathan (Randi) Wilson of Huntsville, AL; two grandchildren, Kristen (Tyler Fowler) Turner of Vernon, AL and Cooper Wilson of Huntsville, AL; three brothers, Billy Honeycutt, Bobby Honeycutt, and Paul Honeycutt; and one sister, Mildred Cole.
