Obituary
Mrs. Mary Jean Hill, age 58 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH in Fayette, AL.
Mrs. Hill was born January 11, 1955, in Fayette, AL to the later Robert (Bob) and Minnie Lee Perkins. She was an RN nurse and loved animals, espcially cats.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, where she will lie in state 10-11, with Mike Nabors officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6:30-8:30 at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Hill of Vernon, AL; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jason, and Lauren Phelpery, all of Vernon, AL; two sisters, Janie (Albert) Perkins Staggs and Joan (Wayne) Perkins Gillihan; nieces, Tonia Gillihan, Tristen, Mariah, Melody, Cheryl McWhirter, Stephanie McWhirter, and Karen Sanderson; and special friends, Belinda Davis and Wanda Cannon.
A special recognition to Dr. Christian and the nurses and staff at Fayette Medical Center and Fayette Medical Home Health Care.
