Obituary
Mary Lee McNees, age 85 of Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. McNees was born March 14, 1925, in Lamar Co., to the late James David and Carrie White. She was a clerk and a life time member of the Vernon Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 in the funeral home chapel with Jimmy McNees and Eddie Finch officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be 1-2:30 prior to the service.
She is survived by four sons, Robert (Shelby) McNees, Jimmy (Lucretia) McNees, Billy McNees, and Danny McNees, all of Vernon; daughter, Frances Markham Tupelo, MS; special friend, Brenda McNees;10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Norman (Mary Lou) White of Amory, MS and James David (Ludia) White, Jr. of Smithville, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.L. McNees; her parents; daughter, Mary Joyce McNees; two sisters, Lucille Gennette Aldridge and Virginia Weldon; and three brothers, Ikie White, Thurman White, and Ernest White.
