Mrs. Mary Ann Sisson, age 82, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. Sisson was born December 23, 1940, in Atta Bena, MS, to the late Horace and Lurline Rogers.  Although Mrs. Sisson had several jobs throughout her lifetime, she was the happiest when being a caregiver to the elderly.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved those large family gatherings where she could spoil everyone with her good cooking.  She had the good fortune of being from a large family which included one brother and nine sisters.  Mrs. Sisson was married to the late Redus Sisson, Sr., and was also preceded in death by six of her siblings.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 8, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Randy Hays officiating.  Burial will follow in the Asbury Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Justin Schultz, Ross Sisson, Stone Sisson, Lake Sisson, Adam Wilcoxin, and Dennis Hankins.

Survivors include her two sons, Redus (Cass) Sisson, Jr., of Vernon, AL and Kenneth (Denise) Sisson of Columbus, MS; four sisters, Lynn Hamilton of Pensacola, FL, Sandy Reynolds of Oxford, MS, Patsy (Charlie) Hagan of Reform, AL, and Betty Pinkerton of Reform, AL; four grandchildren, Ross (Kendra) Sisson of Millport, AL, Raegan (Justin) Schultz of Gulf Shores, AL, Stone Sisson of Millport, AL, and Lake Sisson of Steens, MS; and seven great-grandchildren, Zaron Turner, Channing Franks, Zamberlee Turner, Zayleigh Turner, Krew Schultz, Koda Schultz, and Colbie Rae Schultz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
