Obituary
Mr. Maurice Guyton, age 72, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Generations of Vernon.
Mr. Guyton was born January 30, 1942, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Clyde Haston and Ovell Guyton. He was a truck driver and was married to the late Willa Dean Guyton. In addition of his wife and parents, Mr. Guyton was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jentezen Guyton and Janet Lea York, and his brother-in-law, Johnnie Elliott.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Mike Nabors and James Waldon officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Freewill Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 prior to the service.
Survivors include two sons, Randy (Peggy) Guyton of Amory, MS and Jeff (Wanda) Guyton of Columbus, MS; one daughter, Amanda Guyton of Vernon, AL; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Audie Elliott and Janice (Wayne) Sorrells, both of Vernon, AL.
