Mrs. Lois Maxine Owens, age 79 of Bankston, AL and formerly of Vernon, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, at her residence.
Mrs. Owens was born January 9, 1939, in Fayette Co., AL, to the late John Lloyd and Annie Irene Fowler. She was a seamstress and was married to the late Earnest Owens. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Taylor; two great-grandsons, Carson Owens and Joseph Matthew Welch; two sisters, Betty Havard and Sue Willoford; and two brothers, Jerry Fowler and Billy Wayne Fowler.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Griffith officiating. Graveside services will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 11:30-1:00 prior to the service.
Survivors include her son, George (Pam) Owens of Bankston, AL; three daughters, Lois (Larry) Eiynck of Vernon, AL, Marie (Mark) Anderson of Satsuma, AL, and Glenda (David) Watkins of Bankston, AL; her grandchildren, Joey (Shelly) Welch, Lane Wyatt, Jennifer (Fred) Jones, Justin Eiynck, Zachary (Zandra) Watkins, Adam (Samantha) Bass, Lillian Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Charlie Owens, Amber Perkins, Brenda Robertson, Gina (Dale) Hopson, Laura (Michael) Nowogorski, Christy (Justin) Hawkins, Jamie (Richard) Brown, Jake (Rachel) Eiynck, Jess (Kate) Eiynck; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her two chihuahuas, Gidget and Munchkin; and a host of other family and friends.
