Michelle Phillips

Mrs. Michelle Phillips, age 52, of Kennedy, AL, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Michelle was born May 21, 1973, in Columbus, MS, to the late Jimmy and Sarah Dean McDaniel.  She was a 1991 graduate of Lamar County High School, and a 1996 graduate from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and minor in Social Work.  She was also a faithful member of Springfield Free Will Baptist Church.  Michelle married Kevin Phillips on February 24, 2007, and was a loving housewife.  She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt to her nephew, and a friend to everyone she met.  She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Rolf and Hazel McDaniel, and Aubrey and Margie Hall.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Seay and Bro. Ronnie Elmore officiating.  Burial will follow at Furnace Hill.  Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Byron McDaniel, Daniel Fondren, Dalton Williams, Grant Williams, Austin Stokes, David Stokes, Dylan House, and McCory Humphres.  Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Hopper, David Myhan, Jonas Freeman, and Charlie Gallop.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Kevin Phillips, of Kennedy, AL; her sister, Melissa McDaniel, of Vernon, AL; her nephew, Jon McDaniel, of Vernon, AL; her mother-in-law, Denita Phillips; a special sister, Jana Williams; and a host of other family and close friends.
