Mrs. Minnie Lee Godfrey, age 93, of Millport, AL, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Godfrey was born August 22, 1928, in Altoona, AL, to the late William Harvey and Emma Jane Caldwell.  She was a caregiver, and was married to the late Perry Lee Godfrey.  Mrs. Godfrey was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ava Robinson; one brother, Lee Carter; and her sisters, Frances Wright, Bertha Mathis, Louise Hunter, and a set of twin sisters.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 1, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. John Morgan Owens and Bro. Chris McCool officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Millport.  Visitation will be Tuesday, 2:00-3:00, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Tony Hayes, Ricky Hayes, Andrew Hayes, Ethan Hayes, Sean Gann, Lucas White, and Chris Holcomb.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice (Joseph) Little of Birmingham, AL, and Mary Ann Lamon of Kingman, AZ; one son, James (Ann) Godfrey, of Millport, AL; five grandchildren, Michelle Gann, Valeria White, Sarah Holcomb, Tony Hayes, and Ricky Hayes; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
