Obituary
Mr. Mitchell Derious Beck, age 83 of Caledonia, MS, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Beck was born Aug. 26, 1928 in Florida to the late Eddie Oscar and Ethel Lee Beck. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an inspector at a paper mill. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Trey Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be Friday evening 6-8.
Survivors are his wife, Nancy Beck of Caledonia, MS; step-daughter, Judy (Ronnie) Rogers of Vernon, AL; two granddaughters, Brianne (Jason) Montgomery of Columbus, MS and Jalaine (Zachary) Brooks of Montgomery, AL; four great-grandchildren, Coleton, Emerson, Madison, and Houston Montgomery; two sons, John Beck of Phenix City, AL and Danny Beck of Byron GA; daughter, Paula Causey of Byron, GA; sister, Ida Mae Davis of Magon GA; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to Chandler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 310, Vernon, AL 35592.
