Mr. John Nathan Mordecai, age 50 of Millport, AL, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Mr. Mordecai was born May 26, 1970, in Vernon, AL, to John Robert Mordecai and the late Mable Jane Mordecai, and was a logging machine operator, He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Lella Mae Mordecai; his brother, William Leonard; his grandparents, John and Rosielee Mordecai; and his uncle, Donald Ray Mordecai.

The family will have a private service at a later date.

Active pallbearers will be Anthony Turner, Cole Smith, Cody Sudduth, Kevin Funderburk, Craig Funderburk, Gary Welch, and Daniel Stanford.  Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Mordecai.

Survivors include his father, John Robert (Betty) Mordecai, of Millport, AL; one son, Nate Mordecai, Jr., of Millport, AL; two daughters, Anna Bella Mordecai of Millport, AL and Heather Mordecai; one sister, Dorinda Smith; one brother, Anthony Turner; three step-sisters, Missy Welch, Funisha Leaonard, and Sandy Hayes; three step-brothers, Jeff Leonard, Gary Hayes, and Keith Hayes; his special friend, Heather Springfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
