Obituary
Nellie Ann Murphy, age 71 of Caledonia, MS, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Murphy was born May 12, 1939, in Lamar Co., to the late Denmon and Pauline Langley. She was a cashier at the Columbus Air Force Base.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Scott Stoval officiating. Burial will be at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 12-2 prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Murphy of Caledonia, MS; two sons, Steve (Lesia) Ray of Smithville, MS and J. Davis (Fay) Ray of Conehatta, MS; daughter, Terry (David) Allen of Caledonia, MS; three brothers, Elbert Langley of Vernon, Jimmy Langley of Birmingham, and Johnny Langley of Orlando, FL; sister, Judy Merchant, of Vernon; grandchildren, Kristen Laster, Keith Vail, Brandy Doig, Ryan Partain, Hilary Ray, Erik Ray, Sterling Ray, J.C. Davis, Heather Davis, Miranda Garrison, Cole Mason, and Hunter Tyler; step-son, Donnie Murphy; and step-daughter, Aurora Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Ray, and parents, Denmon and Pauline Langley.
