Obituary
Mr. Newman Allen Humbers, age 75 of Sulligent, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.
Mr. Humbers was born July 28, 1935, in Kolola Springs, MS to the late William Dalton and Mattie Humbers. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Lamar Co. Commissions office.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Matthew Thigpen officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch. Visitation will be Friday even 6-9.
Mr. Humbers is survived by his wife, Ruby Humbers of Sulligent; daughter, Samantha (Dan) Cooper of Vernon; grandson, Joshua Humbers of Vernon; granddaughter, Jessica Humbers of Vernon; sister, Willie Mae Moore of Fayette; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George Humbers and Dalton Humbers, Jr.; and two sisters, Hazel Huffman and Jessie Ray Humbers.
