Mr. Norris Dewayne Brasfield, age 72 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, in Columbus, MS.

Mr. Brasfield was born September 16, 1941, in Monroe Co., MS, to the late Larry Cecil and Allie Mae Brasfield. He was a carpenter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brasfield was also preceded in death by his sister, Nina Davis, three half-sisters, and one half-brother.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry White and Bro. Keith Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening 6-9.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Brasfield of Sulligent, AL; one son, Jason Brasfield of Sulligent, AL; one granddaughter, Alyssa Marie Brasfield of Sulligent, AL; three brothers, James (Betty) Brasfielf of Smyrna, TN, Billy (Jody) Brasfield of New Hope, MS, and Jimmy (Juanita) Brasfielf of New Hope, MS; special friends, Joe and Nellie Woodham; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
