Mrs. Ola Grace Elliott Northam, age 95 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Northam was born July 22, 1922, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Oscar and Jeronnie Elliot and was a seamstress. Mrs. Northam lived a life that was rich. Not in money, but in love she showed for her three boys, daughters-in-law, her six grandkids, and great-grandchildren. She was the most unselfish, strong, caring lady you would ever meet who never uttered an unkind word. But most of all, she was rich in her love for God and her name itself exemplified the gift of Christianity. Mrs. Northam was preceded in death by her son, Drennon Northam, her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Roger Redus officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford. Visitation will be Saturday morning 9:30-11:00 prior to the service.

Northam of Vernon, AL; two sons, Bennie (Arlene) Northam and Larry (Wanda) Northam, both of Vernon, AL; her daughter-in-law, Sheilah Northam; six grandchildren, Amy (Patrick) Pourde, Charlie (Tracy) Northam, Tracey (Casey) Howell, Holly (Matt) Burford, Justin (Ginny) Northam, and Lance (Natalie) Northam; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
