Ms. Olivia "Libby" Jane Rogers, age 51 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at her residence.
Ms. Rogers was born June 23, 1965, to James Ward and the late Leatrice Ward. She was a 1983 graduate of Lamar County High School and was a computer programmer. Ms. Rogers enjoyed watching Alabama football, scrap booking, painting, antiquing, and spending time with her friends and family, but most of all, she enjoyed being a mother to her three daughters. In addition to her mother, Ms. Rogers was preceded in death by her sister, Dayne Lawrence, and her grandson, Dayson Foster.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 from the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with David Maxson officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday 1:30-2:00 prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Scott Edwards, David McGee, Donald McGee, Jeff Randolph, Sam Rogers, and Tom Riffle.
Survivors include three daughters, Lauren Rogers of Sulligent, AL, Ashlen Rogers of Atlanta, GA, and Leah Rogers of Vernon, AL; one step-daughter, Stacey (Shane) Glasgow of Vernon, AL; her father, James Ward of Vernon, AL; one sister, Patti (Doyle) Mitchell of Vernon, AL; her brother-in-law, Carl Lawrence; her former husband, Wayne Rogers; four nieces and nephews, Mindi Oakes, Ryan Lawrence, Erin Thomas, and Kirk Mitchell; her beloved pets, the late Taco, Bocephus, and Tom Tom; and a host of family and friends.
