Obituary
Mrs. Ora Mae Reeves, age 101 of Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Aurora Australis Lodge in Columbus, MS.
Mrs. Reeves was born September 22, 1910, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Johnny and Nancy Caroline Jackson. She was a seamstress and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and Eastern Star and enjoyed embroidery.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Dicky Dees and Ricky Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 10-11 prior to the service.
Survivors are three sons, Howard (Carolyn) Reeves of Vernon, Herschel (Carolyn) Reeves of Bessemer, and Jim (Carolyn) Reeves of Oxford, MS; daughter, Mary Helen Finch of Vernon; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Reeves; her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
