Mrs. Patsy Virgene Stripling, age 80, recently of Peachtree City, GA and formerly of Vernon for all her life, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA.

Mrs. Stripling was born June 29, 1941, in Lamar County, AL, to the late William Verdo and Epsie Lee DuBose.  She was the medical records director at Lamar Regional Hospital, and was married to the late Ravenell Stripling.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stripling was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Bernice DuBose, Ed Cain DuBose, and Carlie DuBose, and one sister, Helen Northam.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Pastor Jacob Elliott officiating.  Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM, and Saturday morning, 11:00-12:00, prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Trevor Elliott, Micah Elliott, Jerry Northam, Randy Northam, Wesley DuBose, and Mark Miles.  Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Morningview Estates, and all the fine people of Vernon who were compassionate in assisting Mrs. Stripling with various everyday tasks over the years.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorinda (Gary) Elliott, of Vernon, AL, and Denise Stripling (William Manzi), of Peachtree City, GA; one son, Chris Stripling, of Hoover, AL; eight grandchildren, Jacob (Rachel) Elliott, Trevor (Lauren) Elliott, Janna (Cody) Bennett, Micah Elliott, Taylor (Kyle) Carnley, Sydney Stripling, James Manzi, and William Manzi; four great-grandchildren, Elijah Carnley, Ella Elliott, Everly Elliott, and Karleigh Elliott;  two sisters, Nona Faye Miles, of Winfield, AL, and Freida Peoples, of Northport, AL; and a host of other sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
