Pearl Thomas Shackelford, age 76, died August 24, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Ms. Shackelford was October 26, 1933 in Lamar Co. to the late Pervie Thomas and Amy Thomas Andrews. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and faithful to attend until the time she went to reside at Generations of Vernon.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Scotty Stovell officiating. Burial will at Fellowship Baptist cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Clifton Shackelford of Vernon and Lee Shackelford of Hamilton; one daughter, Peggy (David) Merchant of Sulligent; two brothers, Barney (Fay) Thomas of Vernon and Banks (Doris) Thomas of Vernon; three grandchildren, Jason Barnes of Sulligent, Michele Humbers of Vernon, and Rose Shackelford of Winfield; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lenora Cunningham; and one sister, Biddie Lee Galloway.
