Mrs. Peggy Jean Elliott, age 84, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Mrs. Elliott was born December 17, 1940, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Kermit and Faye Robertson.  She was a medical transcriptionist and was married to the late Leonard Elliott.  She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and was a friend to everyone she met.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Alan Elliott; her brother, Robert Robertson; and father and mother-in-law, Johnnie and Sammie Lee Elliott.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, at 2:00 PM, at the Fellowship Baptist Church, with Bro. Robbie Bradford and Bro. Jacob Elliott officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 at the church prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Trevor Elliott, Micah Elliott, Jason Robinson, Cody Bennett, Josh Yerby, Robby Robertson, Heath Elliott, and Jared Robertson.  Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Fellowship Baptist Church and member of the Crossville Fire and Rescue.

Survivors include her son, Gary (Dorinda) Elliott, of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Jacob (Rachel) Elliott of Warrior, AL, Trevor (Lauren) Elliott of Northport, AL, Janna (Cody) Bennett of Mantachie, MS, and Micah Elliott of Vernon, AL; four great-grandchildren, Ella Elliott, Everly Elliott, Karleigh Elliott, and Allie Elliott; one brother, David (Tina) Robertson of Vernon, AL; one sister, Jo Ann (H.L.) Robinson of Amory, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
