Miss Peggy Joan Higgins, age 79, of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at her residence.

Miss Higgins was born November 2, 1942, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Barksdale and Ruby Nell Higgins.  She worked in the loan department at Compass Bank.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, August 30, at 3:00 PM, at Liberty Free Will Baptist Cemetery in the Crossville Community.

Survivors include one brother, Kenneth (Betty) Higgins, of Northport, AL; two nieces, Melissa (Randy) Horton and Monica (Shea) Harbin; and two great-nieces, Alexis and Millie Nix.
