Obituary
Mrs. Ramona Ann Taggart, age 81 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Taggart was born July 1, 1935, in Vernon, AL, to the late Alvin Andrew Sims and Mary Hankins Sims and was a housewife. Mrs. Taggart started cooking when she was six years old and was known for it throughout the county. She was also proof that behind every good man is a good woman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taggart was also preceded in death by her brother, Daniel A. Sims.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 from the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Roger Redus officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6-8.
Survivors include her husband, John Taggart, of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Donna Gail (Lynn) Perkins of Byhalia, MS; one son, James Daniel Taggart of Vernon, AL; one grandson, Dallas Clay (Tiffany) Hollis of Byhalia, MS; two great-granddaughters, Savannah Emilyn and Madison Grace Hollis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
