Mr. Randy Gerald Adams, age 58, of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, in Vernon.

Mr. Adams was born September 12, 1963, in Columbus, MS, to the late Therond Adams,, Sr. and Katherine Langford Adams.  He served in the Alabama National Guard, and was a retired truck driver.  He loved and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.  Mr. Adams also had a love for the sports programs in Vernon, from toy bowl all the way up to high school, which was a major part of his life since his retirement.  He was always the first one at every game, and he always had a Gatorade for the boys.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was also preceded in death by two sisters, Debbie Adams and Cathy Parrot, and his brother, Terry Adams.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 25, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. James Godsey officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00-12:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include one daughter, Cecilia (James) Shackelford, of Vernon, AL; two sons, Randy "Bubba" Adams, Jr. (Mika Nickols) of Millport, AL, and Dalton "Boo" Adams of Vernon, AL; grandchildren, Ryan Eiynck, Kaylie Shackelford, Tucker Shackelford, Kera Shackelford, Paxton Lindley, Amelia Adams, Khloe Lindley, Presley Adams, and one grandson on the way; one brother, Therond (Kim) Adams, Jr.; four sisters, Donna (Buddy) Dobbins, Ruby Peery, Bobbie Fe (Wayne) Dison, and Mae (Bobby, Jr.) Edwards.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
