Mr. Travis Ray Lyons, age 68, of Guntersville, AL and formerly of Vernon, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham.

Mr. Lyons was born April 24, 1957, in Tupelo, MS.  He served in the National Guard and was a machinist for NASA.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Dean Hankins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 16, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Andre' Evans officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Barton, Michael Hall, Billy Guyton, Thomas Guyton, Shane Glasgow, Brodie Glasgow, Brady Glasgow, Kophen Sudduth, Ty Smith, and Todd Jenkins.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Hindman; his son, Brad Lyons; his father, Tom Hankins; five grandchildren, Brianna, Brayden, and Emma Lyons, Alexis (Shandan) Burke, and Aden Hindman; one great-grandchild, Aurora Burke; four sisters, Lajune (Bobby) Vick, Judith (Gene) Richardson, Susan (Tommy) Harrison, and Tami Sudduth; and a host of nieces and nephews.
