Mrs. Rebecca Lou Guyton, age 70, of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.

Mrs. Guyton was born March 28, 1954, in Rock Island, IL, to the late Thomas E. and Eva Lou (Lerch) Gosa.  She was a homemaker, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Don Gosa.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 31, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Pearson officiating.  Burial will follow at Kennedy Cemetery in Sulligent.  Visitation will 12:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Guyton; one son, Billy T. (Martha) Guyton; one daughter, Ann Marie (Roy) Franklin; seven grandchildren, Dalton Franklin, Heather Perkins, Jessica Freeman, Deanna Wilson, Thomas Guyton, Kristin Pinkard, and Ashley Paige Flippo; eight great-grandchildren, Remi Freeman, Madelyn Wilson, Kayla Perkins, Kaitlyn Perkins, and Bridget, Austin, Carson, and Emmit Pinkard; one brother, Tom Gosa, Jr.; and two sisters, Kathy Lawley and Linda Black.
