Mr. Redus Wayne Williams, age 83 of Millport, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Williams was born March 13, 1936, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Clarence Bradley and Essie Ophelia Williams.  He was employed with Weyerhaeuser as a surveyor for many years and later retired from General Tire after 32 years of service.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by his sister, Dean Wallace, and his dear friend, Bobby Berry.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Raymond Spann officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday 2:00-3:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Garrett, Tim Shackelford, Farrell Wheeler, Bruce Dunkin, Todd Shackelford, and Dan Richards.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Imogene "Imy" Williams of Millport, AL; one daughter, Sharryn (Bruce) Dunkin of Tuscaloosa, AL; one grandson, Nicholas Matthew Dunkin; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Shackelford and her family, and Diane Garrett and her family; his dear friends, Dan and Jean Richards, Willie and Peggy Dunkin, Charles and Mary Reynolds, Sherry Berry, ; his fury companions, Macy, Anna Belle, Lucy, and Dollie; his friends, Danleigh Bryant, Mark and Sandy Bryant, and and Greg and Deborah Fields; and a host of other family and friends.
