Mr. Rex Daniel Bookout, age 65 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, in Vernon.
Mr. Bookout was born August 9, 1949, in Highland Park, MI, to the late Fred and Mary Bookout. He served in the U.S. Army and Vietnam War and was a truck driver.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Eugene O'Mary officiating. Graveside services will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-8.
Survivors include his son, Derek (Betty) Bookout of Vernon, AL; his daughter, Ashley (Justin) Lann of Vernon, AL; three grandchildren, Shana Merchant, Karley Bookout, and Jackson Lann; his special friend, Betty Pennington of Vernon, AL; three sisters, Gail Avent of Vernon, AL, Wanda Jackson of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Jan Bookout of Vernon, AL; and a host of family and friends.
