Miss Rita Lynne Butler, age 56, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Miss Butler was born February 19, 1965, in Columbus, MS.  She was a 1985 graduate of Lamar County High School,, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clatie Butler, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hardy.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 12:00 PM, at Fellowship Baptist Church, with Bro. Chris Hunnicutt officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  She will lie in state at the church 11:00-12:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include her parents, Hubert and Sara Butler, of Vernon, AL; one sister, Lori Anne Butler, of Vernon, AL; two nieces, Ragan Lyn McGee and Logan Danyel McGee; one nephew, Ethan Marcus (DD) McGee; one great-niece and nephew, Elisabeth Randolph and Jayce Parr; and a host of aunts,  uncles, and cousins.
