Robbie Moore Jones

Mrs. Robbie Moore Jones, age 98, of Meridianville, AL and formerly of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Bethany House Hospice.

Mrs. Jones was born June 1, 1928, in Vernon, AL, to the late Robert Moore and Adiene Rector Moore.  She graduated from Lamar County High School in 1946 then later married her first husband, Clyde Sherrell Jones in 1946.  She was a member of the Vernon Church of Christ, was a homemaker, and was also married to the late Samuel "Sam" Collins.  Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Wayne Jones and Alan Paul Jones, and three brothers, Rudy Moore, Johnny Moore, and Thurston Moore.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 29, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Eddie Finch officiating.  Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00-12:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Collins, Matt Collins, Rusty Jones, Hank Moore, Randall Scott Jones, and William Colter Jones.

Survivors include one son, Randy (Deborah) Jones of Meridanville, AL; one brother, Tommy Noel Moore, of Gardendale, AL; three grandchildren, Randall Scott Jones of Chattanooga, TN, Nicole Jones Barkley of Auburn, AL, and William Colter (Morgan) Jones of Madison, AL; 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews; and host family of Samuel Henry Collins.
