Mr. Robert B. Moore, age 75, was a resident of Vernon for 29 years, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013, after a long time of health issues.

Mr. Moore was born Januay 18, 1938, in Cleveland, AL, to the late Walter and Ruby Moore. He served in the US Army and Vietnam War and was a truck driver for Vernon Milling. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was also preceded in death by his son, Gaithiel Robert Moore, his brother, W.G. Moore, and his mother-in-law, Della Nolen.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Max Bobbit officiating. Graveside services will follow at Beershabee Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 12-2 prior to the service.

Mr. Moore leaves behind his wife, Shirley N. Moore of Vernon, AL; three children, Milland Moore of Millport, AL, Tyeanne Moore of Vernon, AL, and Trudy Garner of Taylorsville, MS; daughter-in-law, Judy Moore; son-in-law, Wayne Garner; eight grandchildren, Latisha Murray, Ruby Shotts, Kevin Moore, Justin Porter, Tiffany Cantrell, Sydney Moore, Pridgett Presley, and Michael Garner; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Milton Ellis Nolen and Donnie Wright; sister-in-law, Nancy Irene (Don) Stanton; and a host of cousins.
