Mr. Robert Houston Robertson, age 71 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Robertson was born December 19, 1944, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Kermit and Tura Fay Robertson. He was a diesel mechanic and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Leonard Elliott, and his nephew, Alan Elliott

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Jacob Elliott officiating. He will lie in state at the church 10-11. Graveside services will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6-8 at the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Robby (Karen) Robertson of Hamilton, AL, Spencer (Holly) Robertson of Holly Springs MS, and Shane Robertson of Petoskey, MI; one brother, David (Tina) Robertson of Vernon, AL; two sisters, Peggy Elliott of Vernon, AL and Jo Ann (H.L) Robinson of Amory, MS; and four grandchildren, Tyler Robertson, Codie Robertson, Trey Robertson, and Austin Robertson.
