Mr. Roland Ray Jackson, age 88, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Generations of Vernon.

Mr. Jackson was born December 31, 1935, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Daniel and Ruby Jackson.  He served in the Vietnam War and was a road construction worker for the state highway department.  He was married to the late Annie Sue Jackson, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Arvil Gene "Bud" Jackson and Herman Jackson.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 13, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. James Godsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include his son, Dwayne (Renea) Jackson of Vernon, AL; three daughters, Susie (Dale) Hollis of Vernon, AL, Gina Keebler of Vernon, AL, and Lisa Bush of Greensboro, AL; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
