Mr. Thomas Ronald "Ron" Cantrell, age 74 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Thomas was born July 15, 1942, in Gattman, MS, to Fannie Lou Cantrell and the late Lois P. "Wink" Cantrell. He served in the U.S. Army and Vietnam War and was a maintenance worker at OMNI. Mr. Cantrell was also preceded in death by his brother, James D. Cantrell.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Greg Cook and Donald Barham officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-3 prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Cantrell of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Natalie (Phillip) Foster of Kennedy, AL; three sons, Shane (Melissa) Cantrell of Winfield, AL, Gene (Carol) Bradford of Vernon, AL, Thomas (Amy Sue) Bradford of Vernon, AL, and Dennis (Vicky) Bradford of Carrollton, AL; his mother, Fannie Lou Cantrell; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Donald) Barham of Fayette, AL and Glenda Diane (Billy Ray) Adams of Sulligent, AL; and one brother, Richard Earl (Watana) Cantrell of Vernon, AL.
