Mr. Russell Clinton Pennington, age 74, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Pennington was born June 20, 1947, to the late Sir Clinton and Lula Stockman Pennington.  He served in the U.S. Army, and was a maintenance worker at Marathon.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Pennington.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Chris Hunnicutt officiating.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include one son, Brian (Wendi) Pennington, of Ralph, AL; one daughter, Ashley (Eddie) Vice of Vernon, AL; four sisters, Sarah Barnes of Vernon, AL, Peggy (Larry) Slone of Vernon, AL, Joyce (Mike) Ellison of Belk, AL, and Mitzi (Lawrence) Delibro of Alabaster, AL; three grandchildren, Braydon, Kristyn, and Caleb; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Corbin.
