Mrs. Ruth McReynolds, age 97, of Millport, AL, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. McReynolds was born January 20, 1927, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Lilly Harrison Godfrey.  She worked the cutting table at the garment plant, and was married to the late J.C. McReynolds.  She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Thomas McReynolds and David McReynolds; her grandson, Tom McReynolds; and her brother, Charles Godfrey.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 1, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Jammie Turner officiating.  Burial will follow at the Shiloh Methodist Cemetery in the Hightogy Community.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Brent Mitchell, Ross Sisson, Adam Hollis, Brandon Hollis, Brady Glasgow, and Yogi Waldon.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Kathy McReynolds; her grandson, Scotty Glasgow; and four great-grandchildren, Ali Glasgow, Brady Glasgow, J.T. Glasgow, and Jack Glasgow.
