Mrs. Sarah Key Wright Morgan, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. Sarah Key was born Carrollton, MS to the late Lin and Lillie Wright. She grew up in a family of Christian values, hard work, and a love for others. As a young girl, she worked hard to help out anyway she could, and that involved working in cotton fields picking cotton. She also worked in a worked in a garment plant for over 25 years, and was also a wonderful seamstress and cook. Mrs. Sarah Key was known for her tea cakes, apple stack cakes, and fried apple pies. She was a devoted wife taking care of her husband for many years, a devoted daughter taking care of her mom and dad, and loving and caring mother to her only child Kay. Mrs. Sarah Key, a devoted Christian, loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sarah Key was preceded in death by her parents, Lin and Lillie Wright; her husband, Eldon Morgan; a great-great-granddaughter, Gracie Brooke Franks; her sister, Helen Rutledge; her brother-in-law, Roland Rutledge; and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Joe Beckon, Danny Thompson, and James Walden officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be Sunday 1-2 at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and William Turner; her brother, Henry G. Wright; her two granddaughters, Lana Franks and Tammy (Scott) Chavers; her great-grandchildren, Whitney Franks, Summer Franks, Will Franks, and Parker Chavers; her great-great-grandchildren, Channing Franks, Bo Franks, Sophie Doty; and Kynzley Williams; and many other relatives and friends.
