Mr. Shad McLeroy, age 46, of Columbus, MS, and formerly of Vernon, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at his residence.

Shad was born September 29, 1975, in Vernon, AL, to the late Danny McLeroy and Barbara Davis.  He was a carpenter, and was a 1993 graduate of Lamar County High School.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Shannon McLeroy Egger, and his grandparents, Oliver "O.E." and Lois Young, and Hunter and Ruby Kennedy.

The family has chosen cremation, and will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Shad is survived by his daughter, Sadie (Cullin) Carter, of Vernon, AL; his cousin, Amy Young McClellan; and his aunt, Judy Young.
