Obituary
Mrs. Shelby Jean Brasfield, age 72 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.
Mrs. Brasfield was born December 16, 1942, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Ack and Bernice Johnson. She was a seamstress and was married to the late Norris Brasfield. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Allen.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Arnold Sheets and Keith Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening 6-9.
Survivors include her son, Jason Brasfield of Sulligent, AL; her granddaughter, Alyssa Brasfield of Sulligent, AL; her cousins, Joe and Nellie Ray Woodham of Sulligent, AL; and her nephew, Randy Allen of Birmingham, AL.
