Mrs. Shelby Jean Hankins Moore, born July 12, 1939, passed from this life March 21, 2017 at age 77.

Mrs. Moore was born to the late Erval Lee and Henretta Pennington Hankins in Vernon, AL. She was raised in Lamar Co., AL and graduated from LCHS in 1958. She loved her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, and cooking for her family. She married the love of her life, Tommy Moore, in 1960 and planned on celebrating her 57th anniversary June 26th.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-3 prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Moore; two daughters, Tracie Moore of Pensacola, FL and Stephanie (Reggie) Sutton of Morris, AL; one son, James (Stephanie) Moore of Trussville, AL; two sisters-in-law, Robbie Collins of Fayette, AL and Van Moore of Hoover, AL; one brother-in-law, Rudy Moore; two sisters, Betty Brewer of Helena, AL and Doris Stoves of McCalla, AL; three brothers, James Hankins of Caledonia, MS, Henry (Gail) Hankins of Booneville, MS, and Steve (Joyce) Hankins of Duluth, GA; and four grandchildren, Shelby Johnsey, Collin Sutton, Jacob Moore, and Joshua Moore; and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gail Wall; and brothers-in-law, Harry Wall, Thurston Moore, Johnnie Moore, and Sam Collins.
