Ms. Sherry Lea Smith Cribbs, age 51, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her residence.

Sherry was born June 30, 1972, in Vernon, AL, to Harold Smith and the late Sandra Smith.  She was a cook at McDonald's, and was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Rosa Lynn and Oscar and Ruby Smith.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 15, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. James Godsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Liberty Free Will Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be O'Brian McCollum, Junior Adams, Hakeem Billups, Mike Porter, Tajious Harrington, and Lee Graham.

Survivors include four daughters, Christy (O'Brian) McCollum of Millport, AL, Kimberly (Junior) Adams of Vernon, AL, Brittnee (Mike) Porter of Winfield, AL, and Aaliyah (Hakeem) Billups of Vernon, AL; her grandchildren, Tajious Harrington, William McCollum II, Timothy Adams, Alexis Adams, Matthew Adams, Christopher Adams. Bianca Porter, Jazlyn Porter, Jacquees Wallace, Nairobi Billups, and Zaylin Billups; her father, Harold (Maggie) Smith; one brother, Jim Smith; one sister, Vicky Smith; her niece, Ashley Smith; two special friends, Gary Cribbs and Lee Graham; one step-daughter, Alaina Griggs; and one step-son, Gary Duran Cribbs.
