Sherry Murff

Mrs. Sherry Gay Murff, age 76, of Bartahatchie, MS, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Convalescent Nursing and Rehab Center in Vernon, AL.

Mrs. Murff was born February 14, 1950, in Amory, MS, to the late J.B. amd Gladys Tipkin West.  She was an accountant and was married to the late Bobby Murff.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alton West and Jimmy West, and one sister, Loriene Westbrook.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 27, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Travis Brown and Pete Murff officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bartahatchie.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include four sons, Dwayne Murff of Bartahatchie, MS, Brian Murff of Athens, AL, Raymond Murff of Hamilton, MS, and Robert Murff of Greenwood Springs, MS; five grandchildren, Trace and Tucker Murff, Alex Murff, Hannah Harper, and Harley Cotton; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie West; and a host of nieces and nephews.
