Mrs. Shirley Nolen Moore, age 79 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Mrs. Moore was born January 9, 1940, in Raleigh, NC, to the late Aubrey and Della Nolen.  She was a retired truck driver and was married to the late Robert Ben Moore.  Mrs. Moore was also preceded in death by her son, Gathiel Robert Moore; her daughter, Trudy P Garner; and two brothers, Louis Nolen and Milton Nolen.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.

Survivors include one son, Milland (Judy) Moore of Millport, AL; one daughter, Tyeanne Moore of Vernon, AL; six grandchildren, Latisha Boykin, Ruby Shotts, Kevin Moore, Justin Porter, Sidney Moore, and Tiffany Benton; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Aubrey Nolen, Ricky Nolen, and Donnie Wright; and one sister, Nancy Stanton.
