Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Sue Pennington, age 84 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Pennington was born March 3, 1930, in Vernon, AL, to the late Andrew Avery and Tezzie Mae Robertson. She was the WIC clerk at the health department and a member of the Bethel Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pennington was also preceded in death by her husband, Trib Pennington.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Jeff Harvill and Rob Argersinger officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-3 prior to the service.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her daughter, Annette Wheeler of Vernon, AL; two sons, Ray (Kitty) Pennington and Alan (Patti) Pennington both of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Lance Pennington, Amanda (Fred) Odom, Thomas (Amber) Pennington, and Jonathan (Staci) Wheeler; three great-grandchildren, Laken Raye Pennington, Thomas Slade Pennington, and Levi Jace Odom; two sisters, Frances Hardy and Mary Nan Aldridge both of Vernon, AL; three brothers, Fred Robertson of Montgomery, AL, Avery Robertson of Vernon, AL, and Paul Robertson of Vernon, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
