Ms. Susan Rogers, age 50, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her residence.

Susan was born February 12, 1975, in Amory, MS, to John Palmer and Etoy Palmer.  She was an office manager at the Lamar County Home Extension Office, and was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Palmer, and her step-mother, Wanda Palmer.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 23, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Pastor James Godsey and Pastor Dillion Jones officiating.  A graveside service will follow at Higdon Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00-8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Lay, Ty Barrett, Eddie Rogers, Jonah Bowers, Tyler Atkins, and Kendall Price.

Susan is survived by her two daughters, Courtney (Jeremy) Lay of Hamilton, AL and Katie Rogers of Vernon, AL; one step-son, Josh Rogers of Ohio; her parents, John Palmer of Vernon, AL and Etoy Palmer of Vernon, AL; two grandsons, Orrin and Amos Lay; and two brothers, Jeff Guyton and Randy (Peggy) Guyton.
