Obituary
Mrs. Suzanne Beale Dobbins, age 74 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
Mrs. Dobbins was born October 10, 1938, in Jasper, AL to the late Dan and Dessie Sue (Johnson) Newman. She was a personal assistant at Chromalox and a member of the Vernon Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pat Rust; a step-son, Wayne Dobbins; and a grandson, Matt Hudson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Eddie Finch officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon 1-3 prior to the service.
Survivors include her husband, Price Dobbins of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Beth Cooper of Hattiesburg, MS and Lisa (Scott) Perkins of Northport, AL; son, Joey (Sophia) Edgeworth of Tampa, FL; two step-sons, Jerry Dobbins of Jacksonville, FL and Terry Dobbins of Pascaguola, MS; twelve grandchildren, Jordan Hudson, Lauren Ross, Caitlyn Cooper, Julia Perkins, Nick Perkins, Emma Edgeworth, Elena Edgeworth, Matt Dobbins, Stormy Dobbins, Michael Dobbins, Michelle Dobbins, and Karen Dobbins; three great-grandchildren; brother, Don Newman; and a host of cousins.
