Ms Talitha Collins, age 93, of Vernon, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at The Windsor Place in Columbus Mississippi. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17. 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Vernon First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Vernon City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday afternoon at the Church from 12:00 till 2:00.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Edwin Collins, Jeff Davis, Jim Davis, Brian Harrison, Charlie Edwards and Ben Edwards.

Mrs. Collins was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Isom and Emma Jane Hankins.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her son, Eddie (Martha Sue) Collins, of Vernon; three daughters, Mary Ruth (Tony) Edwards of Tennessee, Kaye Harrison of Vernon, and Anne Davis of Vernon; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Woods Collins; son, Joe Collins; parents, Isom and Emma Jane Hankins; and great-granddaughter, Caroline Bolton.
