Mr. James Teague Taylor, age 91, of Vernon, AL passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Generations of Vernon.
Mr. Taylor was born January 13, 1930, Grosback, TX, to the late James Henry and Stella Taylor. He served in the National Guard and Army Reserve and Korean Conflict, and was a factory worker and licensed plumber. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Taylor, and one son, Glen Taylor.
There will be a graveside service only Monday, May 24, at 6:30 PM, at Furnace Hill, with Terry McAdams, Ryan Taylor, and Danny Thompson officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Randy Hankins, Larry Smith, Ronnie Hester, Craig Clemmons, Ryan Taylor, and Junior Boman. Honorary pallbearers will be Clark Hardin, Walter Piel, David Pennington, Beach Hankins, Charles Cook, and Dale Bennett.
Survivors include his son, Tony (Kathy) Taylor, of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Pam Taylor, of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Anne (Craig) Clemmons, Ryan (Rebecca) Taylor, Casey Taylor, and Hannah Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ansley Clemmons, and Knox Taylor; one brother and sister-in-law Wilmer and Arlen Taylor; and one niece, Lisa Taylor.
